Each
Actuating System has three separate Parts.
1. The Local Control Equipment at the door.
2. The Modular Remote Hand Pump Station (IF REQUIRED).
3. The Central Indicating Station (IF REQUIRED).
Usually
item No. 1, the Local Control Equipment is your concern regarding
space constraints. We have found that most customers prefer this
system to be our Modular style.
The
Modular System has all of the Local Actuating Equipment Mounted
to a bulkhead plate. The equipment includes all of the electrical
and hydraulics required by the Regulatory Agencies for its Class.
Each component is mounted to the modular plate, pre-piped, pre-wired
and tested prior to shipping from our works. This system reduces
installation time by 65%. if your space constraints do not allow
for the Modular Plate next to the door you can order a non-bulkhead
penetrating Modular Plate System.
The
Modular Plate has the majority of equipment mounted to it but
can be mounted to a 90 degree bulkhead from the door or elsewhere
within sight of the door.
The
Hand Pump and Manual Control Valve for the opposite side of the
bulkhead will have to be mounted individually and piped through
the bulkhead to the Modular Control Plate. If space constraints
eliminate this choice all of the Local Control Equipment can be
ordered separately and dispersed around the door where space allows.
This dispersed equipment is then mounted, piped, and wired at
the shipyard installation.
